GOOD NEIGHBORS

At FPR, we’re blessed with an incredible Staff, Board of Directors, and an equally amazing group of volunteers and donors who support our programs year-round. Whether it’s through donations, coaching, tutoring, leading clubs, or building projects, these individuals, civic groups, businesses, churches, and foundations are the backbone of our programs. It is incredible how building space and programs where people can gather ultimately brings together different sides of the community in ways that enrich all our lives.

One Friday morning, I walked over to the volleyball court and found two moms—Owen and Will's moms—pulling weeds. Owen had built the volleyball court and Will was constructing a new base for our gaga ball court for their Eagle Scout projects. As they worked, they shared, "This is our community too, and we need to help take care of it.”

First Junior Women's Club and National Charity League host memorable holiday parties, donate snacks, and help whenever we ask. Frost Bank sponsored SFMS shirts for FPR Participants. Fluor brightened our bathrooms and lobby with notes of positivity and provided 120 snack bags for our youth. Wilchester Men's Club, Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, Rummel Creek Men's Club, Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, Energy Realty, and more all donated to support FPR Programs. Karsten Interiors donated a van. Christian Brothers Automotive keeps our vehicles in top condition. Frosy rallied friends to donate $800 to provide gift cards for Thanksgiving. Little Lights, Meadow Wood and Wilchester GAP gather at FamilyPoint to discover how God answers our prayers. There are hundreds of thoughtful individuals who make FPR successful, who dedicate their time to impact the lives of children in our programs.

As we continue to serve and support our community, we’re reminded that beauty is everywhere, and it’s created by the hands and hearts of those around us. Every act of kindness, every hour of volunteering, and every contribution—no matter how small—adds to the fabric of something larger.

For all of you who give, share, and help make FPR a place where beauty and opportunity flourish, thank you.
